Advance Review Copy (ARC) Access

1. Purpose of the Agreement
   1. The Advance Review Copy (“ARC”) is provided by the Author to the Reviewer as a complimentary copy of the Work for the sole purpose of reading and providing an honest review.
      1. No positive review is required or requested.
      2. No compensation is provided or implied.
      3. Reviews are published at the Reviewer’s discretion.
2. Copyright & Ownership
   1. The Work is fully protected by applicable copyright laws.
      1. All rights, title, and interest in the Work remain exclusively with the Author.
      2. The Reviewer receives no ownership, publishing, or derivative rights of any kind.
      3. The ARC may not be altered, adapted, or repurposed.
3. Distribution Restrictions
   1. The ARC is licensed for personal use only. The Reviewer agrees not to:
      1. Reproduce, distribute, upload, or share the Work in any format.
      2. Post the ARC publicly or privately, including websites, forums, or file-sharing services.
      3. Send the ARC to others or distribute printed copies.
   2. Unauthorized distribution may result in termination of ARC privileges and potential legal action.
4. Excerpts & Fair Use
   1. The Reviewer may quote short excerpts of the Work strictly for review purposes, provided that:
      1. Excerpts comply with fair-use guidelines.
      2. Proper credit is given to the Author and title of the Work.
      3. Excerpts do not reveal major spoilers or unpublished content beyond what is customary for a standard review.
5. Confidentiality (Unreleased Material)
   1. If the Work has not yet been publicly released, the Reviewer agrees to maintain confidentiality.
      1. No sharing of spoilers, private plot details, or unpublished material.
      2. No posting of excerpts or commentary beyond what is necessary for a standard review.
      3. Confidentiality remains in effect until the official release date, unless otherwise authorized by the Author.
6. Review Guidelines
   1. Honesty
      1. The Reviewer agrees to provide an honest, unbiased review reflecting their genuine opinion of the Work.
         1. No positive review is required or expected.
         2. The ARC may not be misrepresented as a final or published edition.
   2. FTC Disclosure
      1. The Reviewer agrees to comply with FTC guidelines and equivalent international disclosure regulations.
      2. An acceptable disclosure includes:

         “I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.”

7. Review Platforms
   1. Reviews (not the book copy) may be posted on, but are not limited to:
      1. Amazon.
      2. Goodreads.
      3. Social media platforms.
      4. Personal blogs.
      5. Book review websites.
   2. Unless otherwise arranged, no specific posting platform or deadline is required.
8. No Resale or Transfer
   1. The Reviewer agrees not to sell, resell, auction, trade, or otherwise transfer the ARC, whether in digital or physical form.
9. No Guarantee of Publication
   1. Providing an ARC does not guarantee final publication, release timing, or that the Work will remain unchanged. The Author reserves the right to revise or withdraw the Work at any time.
10. Termination
    1. The Author may revoke ARC access immediately if the Reviewer violates any term of this agreement, including unauthorized distribution or breach of confidentiality.
    2. Upon termination or request, the Reviewer agrees to delete or destroy all copies of the ARC in their possession.
11. Acceptance of Terms
    1. This agreement is governed by applicable international copyright laws, treaties, and conventions.
    2. By accessing, downloading, or reading the ARC, the Reviewer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full, regardless of geographic location.
    3. The Reviewer acknowledges that the Author may update or revise these terms from time to time, and that continued possession or use of the ARC constitutes acceptance of the most current version of the agreement. All prior obligations remain in effect, and any updated or additional terms shall apply immediately upon publication.
