The Moon’s Curse: Blood Moon is such a strong conclusion to a dark fantasy trilogy because it never loses focus on emotional storytelling. Even with massive world-ending stakes and supernatural horror, the novel still feels deeply personal. The emotional struggles of the characters remain the heart of the story, which keeps the book engaging from start to finish.
Lira was definitely my favorite character because her journey feels tragic and emotionally complex. Her fear of becoming consumed by darkness creates so much tension throughout the novel. Evan’s storyline also kept me emotionally invested because of how haunted and vulnerable he feels. Their relationship adds emotional warmth and humanity to a world filled with death, prophecy, and destruction.
The pacing, atmosphere, and world-building all work together beautifully. Jason Moore creates a fantasy world filled with ancient secrets, terrifying mythology, and emotional consequences that feel meaningful. Fans of darker fantasy stories with strong emotional depth and horror elements will probably love this book.
